Rowan University, a public research university in New Jersey, US, has partnered with the accounting firm WilkinGuttenplan to launch a CPA apprenticeship programme designed to streamline the path to CPA licensure for post-baccalaureate students.
This initiative, offered through Rowan’s Rohrer College of Business (RCB), offers a blend of academic rigour and valuable practical experience.
The collaboration between Rowan University and WilkinGuttenplan aims to provide aspiring accountants with a direct pathway to CPA licensure.
Participants will be able to fulfil the 150-credit requirement for CPA certification while obtaining hands-on experience at WilkinGuttenplan.
The programme is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
WilkinGuttenplan managing shareholder Dan Fiorentino said: “Our partnership with Rowan University reflects our commitment to developing future accounting professionals.
“By combining academic rigor with practical experience, we are equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the industry.”
Apprentices will benefit from mentorship, financial support, and practical on-the-job training.
