PwC Academy has launched a professional consulting programme in the Middle East, in collaboration with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), according to a press release posted on Zawya.
The launch took place last month with the first cohort of more than 12 professionals from various sectors.
This initiative marks the first-ever chartered management consulting qualification in the Middle East, accredited by the CMI.
The programme aims to develop consultants’ knowledge, skills, and mindset, ensuring they are equipped to excel in the profession.
It aligns with global standards for management consulting, enabling participants to achieve the Chartered Management Consultant (CMC) accreditation.
This qualification assures clients of the quality of service, expertise, and experience consultants bring.
A recent CMC survey revealed that 86% of Chartered Management Consultants believe the chartered status positively impacts their business reputation.
The programme has two qualifications: Level 5 Management Consulting Practice, aimed at early-career professionals entering consulting; and Level 7 Professional Consulting Pathway, targeted at experienced professionals leading major initiatives.
The first level focuses on project delivery and consulting methodologies that emphasise organisational change while the second level concentrates on strategic transformation, privatisation, and new sector development.
Both levels offer a flexible blended learning approach, combining online modules and in-person workshops, catering to the needs of working professionals.
PwC Partner and PwC’s Academy Professional Qualifications head Taimur Mir said: “Drawing on decades of PwC’s regional industry expertise and our network of global experts, we are committed to equip consultants with the strategic capabilities and professional recognition vital for leading complex transformations with deep market understanding.
“The end goal is to empower a dynamic consulting workforce that will deliver meaningful value to government entities, sovereign wealth funds, and private sector organisations across the region.”
This announcement comes after PwC Academy in Cyprus unveiled the Business Professionals Certificate in October 2024.
This certification is in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
