The UK Chartered Institute of Public Finance
and Accountancy (CIPFA) has announced the election of four new
members to its 2010/11 governing council.
Three of the members have been newly elected
while the fourth, Brian Roberts, is returning after a period of
absence
Roberts is director of resources at
Leicestershire County Council and a member of CIPFA in the Midlands
region;
The three new members are:
- Angela Brown, an independent consultant and
member of the Local Authority Accounting Panel; - Christina Earls, review manager at the
Department for Work and Pensions; and - Andrew Burns, director of finance at
Staffordshire County Council.
The council will be led by Jaki Meekings Davis
and Chris Bilsland, who were recently named as CIPFA’s next
president and vice president.
The new council will take office in June.
