The Institute of Certified Public Accountants
of Singapore (ICPAS) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales (ICAEW) have jointly developed programme to
educate directors in Singapore on best practice methods.
The programme is part of a Memorandum of
Understanding on boosting corporate governance between the two
institutes.
ICPAS will work with ICAEW on adapting
learning material for the local market, making it available in Asia
for the first time.
The programme will have two tiers – one for
aspiring non-executive directors and another for existing
directors.
