GRI plans to release its first publication on the outcome of their work for the United Nations (UN’s) Sustainability Development Goals (SGD’s), as well as currently conducting a review of two standards; water, and occupational health and safety.
The GRI and UN Global Compact plan to release the first outcome publication of their Action Platform for Business Reporting on the SDGs on 21 September entitled An Analysis of the Goals and Targets.
The publication is an inventory of possible disclosures, both qualitative and quantitative, per SDG. It aims to tackle the fact that most businesses lack a uniform methodology for measuring and reporting on the 17 SGDs.
In parallel, GRI has published proposed changes to its standards for water, and occupational health and safety which are available for public consultation until 9 October 2017.
