The American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA) has launched a Sidney Kess award for excellence
in continuing education.
The AICPA said the award aims to recognise
individual CPAs who have made significant contributions in tax and
financial planning as well as high professional values and
ethics.
The award is named after Sidney Kess who the
AICPA said is a renowned tax expert and author of many tax books on
financial and estate planning.
Nominations are solicited by an AICPA tax
strategies committee, which also determines the recipient of the
award.
