Hasnain Thoufiq Ahmed will take on the role of secretary, while Md Maksudur Rahman has been appointed as the treasurer of ICMAB.

The election of the new leadership team coincides with a recent memorandum of understanding signed between ICMAB and North South University (NSU).

This agreement offers NSU students and graduates course exemptions and admission scholarships for the CMA programme.

ICMAB, established with the aim of promoting and regulating the cost and management accounting profession in Bangladesh, currently provides education, training, and a CMA degree to students meeting the requisite qualifications.

The institute also undertakes research in relevant fields and is the sole authority to issue practicing licenses to its members.

As a statutory organisation, ICMAB operates under the Government’s Cost and Management Accountants Ordinance 1977 and is regulated by the Cost and Management Accountants Regulations 2019.
