The Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC) and the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) have signed an agreement to bolster the Nafis programme’s objectives in the private audit sector.

Nafis programme aims to ease the process for hiring United Arab Emirates (UAE) nationals in private entities, free-zones and the banking sector across the UAE.

The latest collaboration is set to enhance the training, development, and employment of UAE national talent in private audit firms and offices registered by the authority.

ETCC Secretary-General Ghannam Al Mazrouei said: “Signing this agreement aligns with our leadership’s vision of expanding qualitative and sustainable employment opportunities for Emirati citizens in the private sector.

“By providing access to jobs and training in a vital field like auditing, we are enabling Emirati talent to actively contribute to the nation’s development.”

Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU), the authority will boost the competitiveness of UAE national professionals, supporting the Nafis programme.

This will enable professionals to secure positions in ADAA-registered audit companies.

Furthermore, the agreement will include tailored training and development to prepare job-seeking Emiratis for the private sector.

It also outlines a structure for monitoring the employment of UAE national talent in registered audit firms and for creating structured career paths.

ADAA Audit and Monitoring Sector director-general Wael Abdel Qader Mahmoud said: “This MoU reflects a bold step toward integrating national talent into the private sector, especially in a field where Emirati presence has been limited.

“By creating new career pathways and establishing excellence centres, we aim to build a comprehensive ecosystem that equips Emirati youth with the skills to excel, contributes to Abu Dhabi’s sustainable economy, and elevates standards in accounting and auditing.”
