The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has selected NEDonBoard, the Institute of Board Members, as its preferred partner to support its members in non-executive director (NED) roles.
This collaboration aims to equip ACCA members with skills to strengthen board practices and enhance the organisations they join and to build a community of board-ready ACCA members.
Through this partnership, ACCA members gain access to knowledge and networking opportunities.
Members may also secure a complimentary NEDonBoard membership for one year when enrolling in specific professional qualifications.
The available qualifications include the NED Accelerator Complete Programme, which provides foundational knowledge and a roadmap to secure a NED role.
Additionally, the Institute of Board Members offers the NED Diploma, designed to provide a competitive edge as a modern NED and achieve recognised status through post-nominal letters.

By GlobalDataThe partnership aims to foster ongoing professional development and growth.
As a first step, ACCA and NEDonBoard plan a series of webinars to present non-executive career opportunities and insights into securing a first role for ACCA members.
NEDonBoard chief operating officer Elise Perraud said: “We are thrilled to join forces with ACCA, a partner whose values align closely with our own, to support professionally qualified accountants on their journey to board roles.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to empower these professionals with a clear pathway to board roles, and the resources, recognition, and continuous development they need to make meaningful contributions and be impactful.”
ACCA UK Sector and Communities Lead Mel Venes said: “The role of a NED is important and professionals occupying these roles are chosen due to wealth of business experience and strong reputation.
“We’re delighted to announce this partnership with NEDonBoard through which we hope to encourage more ACCA members to contribute their talent and experience as NEDs.”
The announcement follows ACCA’s recent advocacy for a transformational shift in the public sector. ACCA urges a focus on productivity and outcomes rather than cost-cutting.
This call to action was made during ACCA’s Virtual Public Sector Conference, where a new report was launched.
