The Certified General Accountants Association
of Canada (CGA Canada) and French accountancy body Conseil
Supérieur de l’Ordre des Experts-Comptables (CSOEC) have entered
into a mutual recognition agreement (MRA).

Under the agreement, members of CGA Canada and
the CSOEC can be considered for membership by the other body.

Members must meet the prescribed requirements
for public accounting in the jurisdiction they wish to practice
in.

CSOEC president Joseph Zorgniotti said
the MRA enables the expansion of workforce mobility between the two
countries.

The new partnership broadens an earlier
agreement between the CSOEC and the CGA association in the
French-speaking Canadian province Québec.

It is the fourth MRA CGA Canada has with a
foreign accounting organisation.
