The Crypto Accounting Academy, a flagship course offered by The Accountant Quits, has been acknowledged as a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Sponsor by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).

This designation, granted following a thorough application process, places the course on the NASBA CPE Registry.

“It underscores our dedication to providing high-quality educational resources that meet the highest professional standards for the web3 accounting industry,” The Accountant Quits said in its press statement.

Students enrolled in the Crypto Accounting Academy will now have the opportunity to earn up to 20.4 CPE credits.

These credits are said to be essential for meeting the requirements of CPA licensure and maintaining other professional certifications.

NASBA said: “Your status as a registered sponsor affirms your commitment to the delivery of high quality continuing professional education in compliance with the Statement of Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (2024) (Standards) and the program requirements of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.”

The Accountant Quits added that it intends to educate accountants on the field of blockchain and its implications for accounting practices, offering practical insights into crypto-accounting.

The Accountant Quits founder and CEO and Crypto Accounting Academy instructor Umar Mallam Hassam said: “We are proud of this recognition by NASBA and look forward to serving the development, education, and training needs of accountants, financial controllers, CFOs, and other key roles within the web3 accounting industry.”

The accreditation comes in the wake of proposals made by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and NASBA in October 2024.

They suggested amendments to the Uniform Accountancy Act, introducing the CPA Competency-Based Experience Pathway as an alternative route to CPA licensure.
